Join us for Clay, Crisis and Coming Back, a Mental Wealth Festival conversation bringing together ceramicists Marice Cumber and Dr Sharon Taylor, arts writer Hettie Judah, and artist, educator and Mental Wealth Festival co-curator Ian Tucknott, exploring how creativity can support resilience, recovery, and the courage to begin again.
As part of City Lit's 12th annual Mental Wealth Festival, this Second Lives artist conversation explores how creativity can support resilience and recovery. Marice Cumber returned to ceramics aged 57 after a thirty-year break, having spoken openly about her mental health struggles, and has since exhibited at the Royal Academy and founded Accumulate, The Art School for the Homeless. She's joined by Dr Sharon Taylor, whose practice bridges art, science, and storytelling through clay, alongside arts writer Hettie Judah and educator Ian Tucknott, co-curator of the Mental Wealth Festival.
Join us for a glass of wine and a chance to meet the artists after the panel discussion.
Tickets are £5 (concessions available) and bookable through the City Lit website using the link below.
